We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information for the Society, by which you can be identified, and when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
In regard to this website and its associated activities The DVGC manage the member’s data in a manner which is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
We will never release your personal details to any third party without your express consent. When you complete a ‘Membership Form’ certain personal information is collected from you and all such information is held on secure savers. The DVGC complies fully with all applicable areas of the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR of 2016. And will treat all your personal information as confidential. We may change this policy from time by updating this page and will notify you accordingly. This policy is effective from 13/12/2021.

WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER
This will only be used for golf related matters, including age divisions in competitions, order of play, and eligibility to play in any and all of the Societies competitions and matches.
CONTACT POLICY
We will never pass your personal details to any third party or other than our database, which is held on the Ineos provider used by the DVGC.
We will only use your details to help personalise communications and records, regarding any competition held by the Society.
We will make sure our contact with you is relevant to Golf, and based on the information you give us. You can opt out at any time. All you need to do is change your consent on these forms and re-submit. But remember, if you do ‘opt out’ of giving us information, then you may be wrongly entered into a competition or match.
SECURITY
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures including passwords on our website to safeguard and secure the information we collect physically and online.
This consent form is being used to comply with General Data Protection Regulations, which came into force on the 25th May 2018. Please complete and submit whereupon this will be stored as a record of your consents:
By paying the membership fee to join the DVGC, you are given your implied consent for us to collect and save personal information from you that we will use only within the terms of this Privacy Policy.
